Resistance Is Futile
www.youtube.com Hello YouTube, this will be a response to a video by libertycave entitled, "A Response to Spawkville." In the video, it is claimed that I error in proposing that the readers use a democratic system to force the non-readers into compliance, due to the fact that if, as my story states, the non-readers have the power to overthrow the system and are the majority they will have the power over the democratic state, not the readers. However, the accusation of error is flawed because, in my story, the readers were still the majority at the time of the town meeting. It was not until later that the non-readers became the majority. They did this simply by having far more kids than the readers, as the contextual libertarian pointed out. At the time of the contextual libertarians' protest, action could have still been taken to prevent the destruction of Spawkville. It is next claimed that if the non-readers are able to overpower the readers, they will likely be powerful enough to defend against a state. However, this ignores the fact that, due to the non reader take over, Spawkville's standard of living, as well as its relative and absolute economic progress, has been destroyed. Thus making it uncompetitive relative to other states. Clearly, if the contextual libertarian had his way, this problem could have been avoided.
