Rob and Dana's Romantic Proposal
I had missed several opportune moments to propose to her already: We had been alone at the top of Eden Rock Hotel in St Bart's late one night over last Christmas, and another opportune time at the end of an incredible wine tasting at Viader Vineyard in Napa Last Fall, on top of a mountain. Both times were very romantic settings, but the timing wasn't right, even though the emotion was there. I just couldn't let her get away this time. So I planned a special trip to Cabo San Lucas and researched the most romantic spots on the Baja Peninsula before the trip. Then I waited for the perfect time, place and, of course the mood. It was after dinner at Sunset da Mona Lisa, on the second day of the trip, with the sun setting in front of us. We had a bottle of red wine, and could hear the waves crashing below, and romantic music playing in the background. I told her I wanted to snap some pictures of the sunset, and ask the guy at the table next to us to pretend to take a photo. As we walked down I told him to switch to video, because I planned to ask her to marry me. He simply said "I got this". After a pretend photo, I turned to her and said "You know I have loved you since we first met, and you are very special to me. But I do not want to keep calling you my girlfriend anymore". I then reached into my pocket and pulled out the ring I had carefully selected, and placed it on her finger. And then I said "I'd rather call you my wife". And she cried.
