Fake Proposal - April Fools
The joke was on Heredes (sitting to my right). The restaurant employees knew we were pranking him, so they played along. I gave them Lauren's (behind the camera) engagement ring and they brought it on the dessert for the evening, a cinnamon cheesecake. Genie and I had been dating just over a month at the time of this video, which made the whole event even more shocking for Heredes, our matchmaker. What sealed the deal on the performance was my strange nervous behavior during the whole meal. At one point Heredes whispered to me if I was alright. I told him I was just a little nervous and he didn't know why. Poor guy didn't see this coming. Happy April Fools Day 2009!
