Finish Line Proposal at the 2011 Boston Marathon!!
I had planned to propose to my girlfriend soon after our finish of the Boston Marathon on April 18th, 2011. We both ran the race, but not together. With thousands of runners finishing, it would normally not be possible to do it right at the finish line as you would get trampled by finishers and chased by the race officials. By chance, we happened to be near the finish right as the final few runners were crossing the line. After handing my Bloggie video camera to a kind race official, I gave a short speech and got on my knee to pop the question. The marathon spectators cheered us on loudly and some let out a gasp of emotion. It was an absolutely perfect proposal, and a complete surprise to her!
