Geocaching Proposal
On June 14th, 2008 a plot to surprise my girlfriend came to fruition. After much planning, and with the assistance of her brother (Jack) and sister-in-law (Jen), the day finally arrived when I would ask my girlfriend to marry me. She was convinced I wouldn't ask until sometime between August '08 and May '09, and I was driven to make sure I did it before then. The plan went off without a hitch: A week prior, I scouted some locations, and chose a quaint little park in Nahant, called Marjoram Park. Using my GPS, I got the coordinates of the spot, and gave them to Jack, who is usually the planner of our geocaching trips. The morning of the proposal day, Jen took Wendy to a yoga class so I could go over to her house and ask her parents' blessing, which they happily gave. After yoga, Wendy and Jen returned home, and I was already there. We were told 10:30 am would be the start time. I showed up "late" but they got back from the class later. After Wendy and Jen got changed, we left to have some lunch, and start what Wendy thought would be a day filled with geocaching... ***For those that don't know, geocaching is sort of like scavenger hunting with the use of a GPS.
